Neem Azadirachta indicaBack
From the same genus as the mahogany tree, neem has been used in Indian culture for hundreds of years.
This massive tree tolerates high temperatures and low rainfall.
In India the tree is known as ‘the bestower of health’ with the roots, bark, leaves and seeds all being used in everyday healthy living routines.
We use the dried leaves and the oil pressed from the seed. The bitter tasting leaves are a mainstay of cleansing routines and the oil is used externally.
