Sariva Hemidesmus indica-Radix

Back

The Sariva plant is common throughout India and Sri Lanka. It is a thin and creeping plant which spreads extensively underground referring to its other name anantamool ‘the eternal root’, due to its ability to spread prolifically and to survive periods of high climatic stress. This plant has a distinctive, fragrant vanilla-smell and has a high concentration of essential oils.

Sariva has been used in traditional Ayurveda for thousands of years. It is also revered as a magical and spiritual herb which influences the dream world and deep meditative practices.

Its creeping tendencies come into full effect in Active Oil.
