Vidari Ipomoea digitata

Vidari is a large and bulbous root that grows in Northern India with a distinctively sweet taste; it originates from the same family as the sweet potato and is a creeping plant. The flowers of this plant are often very large and distinctive and have been known to attract hummingbirds.

The roots are used in the traditional Ayurvedic formula for Mahanarayan Oil that we have made a version of in Active Oil.
